Creative Skills Challenge:
How PR can give your business an edge
What are we offering?
IEA is offering a series of workshops and seminar events to help you increase your knowledge on specific topics related to the running and growth of your business. These are the first in a series of seminars and events to be held by IEA designed to help increase your knowledge whilst introducing you to us and other organisations that can help move your business forward.

Each seminar also has an opportunity to network with other attendees after the talks. Refreshments will be provided.
How PR can give your business an edge
One of the most effective ways of getting more customers for a small business is to get press coverage. This seminar will look at how to get that coverage, how to build a relationship with journalists and other ways in which to get a message or product across to the public. The potential of on-line coverage will also be discussed, along with case studies of individuals who have used PR to make their business grow. Topics covered by the speakers will include the following:
  • How to get editorial coverage different types of media
  • How to contact journalists
  • The benefits of developing a good relationship with journalists
  • Editorial versus advertorial
  • On-line versus traditional media
  • Case studies

CIPR – How PR can work for you
Fashion Capital – On-line PR and relationships with journalists
Arts Council – PR from an Arts Council perspective
Case Studies – Case studies of individuals who have used PR to help their business
How much does it cost?
These seminars are free to individuals/businesses who live or work in the Objective 2 area within London. For those who live or work outside of this area, there is a subsidised cost of £5 per seminar.
